Another year, another birthday!

School is out, weather is hot, water is warm, and life is good.

So school... Not to brag, but I did graduate my illustrious preschool career with honors. Now, yes, everyone else did as well, but that clearly is due to the fact we are all incredibly advanced.

See? Only a gifted child would look like this while waiting to receive his diploma.

Received diploma? Check.

We were able to celebrate our accomplishments with...FIELD DAY!!!

The obstacle course was by far my favorite event.

I owned it.

So once school was out, we had another big finale for the season - my last baseball game!

There may have been some concern as to whether I was taking the sport seriously enough.

But don't worry... When I'm focused, I'm fierce.

Sul also got in on the action... although his type of "action" seems to be a bit different from mine, eh?

Get'em, tiger.

And then the day came that we have all been waiting for... Sully turned TWO!!!

That's right - those muscles and wild eyes no longer belong to a one-year-old.

We had a little party for him where he was able to celebrate with his two favorite things - icing and "Huppy" (aka. blue puppy).

Yes, there were also people there, but Huppy and icing were the linchpins of his celebratory day.

Oh - and we also did one other super cool thing on his birthday. We took him to the BEACH!!!!

It was fantastic - for a whole week, we swam, dug, swam, captured marine life (oh yes, we caught sand fleas, minnows, sea snails, a giant crab, and an assortment of other tiny creatures), and swam some more.

Here is Sul trying to catch a fish with his tiny pail. His method was just a tad inefficient.

After acknowledging that he was having some difficulty, he just switched his laser-like focus over to filling a giant hole up with water.

This task also proved to be slightly challenging for our birthday boy since he usually got too excited about the water and would would pour it out before he even arrived at the hole.

So while he was busy being a leaky water mule, I took to the seas with my boogie board.

The waves were big and the ride was sweet. I did get a big ol' rash on my stomach from loosing my board multiple times amidst the turmoil, but it was totally worth it.

So Sul and I have been asking for months that we be allowed to sleep together. You know - a brothers-only slumber party!

Well, our wish was granted during our time at the beach. I'm not going to lie - I was just as excited as Sul at the prospect of being able to stay up together, talking, wrestling and just generally being crazy.

How was I to know he would take it way too far?

I suppose his crazy eyes in this picture were a bit of a giveaway.

After a mere ten minutes of "fun," I finally asked Mom to put him back in his own bed. He would NOT leave me alone! For someone so tiny, he is remarkably adept at wrestling, clawing and hanging on to me like a baby koala might cling to its mother.

Do you see this!?

This kid is killing me.

Nevertheless, he is still the best brother and friend I could ask for.

Happy birthday, Sul!

Okay - so we all agree that this officially ends Sully's birthday celebration, right? It is time for us all to begin preparing for the next birthday. Oh-?! What's that? The next birthday is MINE???

Well, look how that worked out!
