Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope that everyone out there in blogland is having a nice day celebrating love. For me, this holiday is only so-so. I guess it is just my advanced age and cynical attitude, but there are definitely other holidays I prefer more...

But for Sully? Not so much. He is Red. Ee.

Hunk-a-burnin wha-? Way to be subtle.

Mmm-hmmm... We get the message, Sull.

Okay then. [eye roll] I think we've about wrapped this up montage...

In case you can't tell - Sully is lobbying hard for a Valentine. I, of course, need to do no such thing. My homemade Valentine box was stuffed. STUFFED, I tell you!

So I've been busy lately doing things a tad more substantial than showing my dimples. What, you ask? Well, I have recently taken up interest in the mailman.

See? (Ignore the telltail signs of oreo cookie around my mouth. One of my customers left them for me in a mailbox.)

I've also taken up an interest in saving lives. I am usually an urrrforce (Airforce) man and just shoot pretty much anything in my path, but on this day, I chose to save people from fire.

And speaking of shooting... Here I am using a fallen tree as a huge cannon. I believe I was setting my sights up in this picture. I'm a very accurate shot.

Surprised? Of course you aren't...

In other news, we have had our usual string of visitors which is always super fun.

Shockingly, one of our visitors was for Sully! Usually, it is my friends coming over to hang, but this time - it was another tiny baby named Shep. He is pretty much the bomb.

Here is a pic of Shep and Sully doing what they do best - staring.

They were probably staring at Aunt Amanda and Mom as they made weird faces and high pitched noises at them. It is rather odd how adults behave around babies. Right? Anyone?

Check this one out. Shep is trying to sneak a few of Sully's puffs. Clearly, Sully is still learning how to share as he tries to cover up the goods with his hand.

After Shep came another fun visitor- Granny!! We celebrated Mardi Gras together - with necklaces (for which I did nothing but be well-behaved and cute!), King Cake, and noise makers! Oh - and apparently the Olympics as evidenced by the giant skates on the TV.

And our last visitor!?

SNOW!!!! Yes - that's right. It SNOWED in SOUTH Georgia! Not tons, but enough to scrape together a few snowballs.

So that is about it for now. I'm sure there is lots more to report on, but for now this will do.

Oh... before I go - Ever wonder what we look like on any given day at any given moment? Well... here you go.

Sully with a pant leg hiked up and a sock missing? Check. Fireman's hat and rain boots for me? Check.

Mom is always concerned that people will think we are a tad trashy when we go to the store, but I keep telling her to stop fighting it. Camo is awesome. And so are plastic hats.

I realize this is a good two months late, but Happy New Year! I hope that everyone has a wonderful 2010! I know that ours is certainly off to a good start.
