Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter, everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful day celebrating the risen Lord!!

I certainly did. How? By eating more sugar this weekend than all the other days I've been alive, combined.

The Easter weekend began with a bang - an egg hunt. Naturally, that brought some delicious treats.

I used this particular hunt more as training or practice for a bigger hunt on the horizon. I quickly learned that you need to be focused and aggressive.

OH WAIT!! Are those ducks!??!

"GACK! GACK! GACK!!!"

So much for the hunt...

Finally, Easter morning arrived and this strange basket appeared... I kept hearing that it was from some giant bunny. Well, I saw that bunny in the mall and it freaked me out.

So no thank you Easter Bunny. Mom? Dad? Kindly pull me back onto the bed now.

Oh man - nothing sucks me in like a guck with buttons, lights and sirens.

I concede this year, Easter Bunny, but you'll not dupe me again.

I hate how much I love this truck.

Next up, we got ready for church... and candyfest #1.

Absolutley, I'll be quiet during church! I'm able to handle big kid rules. I mean... I am wearing a vest.

So perhaps church was a bit more of a challenge than any of us imagined. And perhaps I ate two suckers and a cup-full of jellybeans.

So as soon as we got home, Dad took me out to run off the energy with my new kite.

After taking a breather, I got myself psyched up for the real-deal egg hunt.

Game on, Mom. Hold my basket where I can put the eggs in quickly!

WAITTT!!!! Eleven jellybeans are NOT too much for my mouth!! It's bigger than it looks! IT'S BIGGER THAN IT LOOKS!!!!!

I lost that battle. But no worries - I blew off some steam by taking on the big-kid slide. Notice how much I look like a four-year-old.

Eat your heart out one-year-olds!!

Moral of this story? Candy does strange things to me.

Words According to KD

HYYYS!!! [Hello] Welcome back yet again!

So I had the opportunity to go to "The Farm" this week and it was fan. tas. tic. Pretty much every animal that I love was there and I had quite a time showing everyone that I knew what each was called.

First up - Urts [birds].

Next...an owwww that says booooo [cow that says moo]. Unfortunately, you cannot see that my finger was nearly lodged up her nostril.

Then I got to ride on a guck [tractor/truck]. As you can see, my excitement nearly overwhelmed me.

We also saw warses [horses] and lots of gucks that go gack [ducks that go quack. And yes, you have already seen this word once]. Most of the animals were untouchable... such a bummer for me. Perhaps not for them...

No matter how exciting though, I was eventually was ready to go home and play with my own cadre of toys. Before investing too much into playtime, I first took off my ooosh [shoes].

And then I grabbed my geliguck [helicopter]. I love it so... In fact, sometimes as a treat to my chachooos [trains], I stuff them into it and take them for a ride..

Later, I played with my caRRRRRssss [one single car] while I had a snack of ish [goldfish] - a fun little combo if I might say so.

And if you're questioning whether I lined them up like that - you bet your sweet bippee I did. Sure, I'm only 20 months, but I'm certainly not too young to show signs of compulsive behavior. My mother is proud.

Before long, I was exhausted and settled in for the evening with my guhgurrrrrl [good girl aka Georgie].

A little reminder...

Since it's been a while since I updated everyone on just how the Diggy does roll, here you go...

First up - I'm always ready to go at a moment's notice. Maybe even when we're not going anywhere. That's just my way. Dig it.

Do I poke holes in the middle of every piece of banana before I eat it? You bet I do.

And sometimes I like a good fuzzy boot. Don't knock it - they are like little ovens for my tiny feet.

A little alteration on the ol' 52 card pick-up. For a real challenge, I like to play 1,500 puzzle-piece-pick-up.

Okay, so maybe 1,500 was a bit much.

What's that? Am I all boy? OR is half of me really a mystical dragon?? I usually keep my tail and claws hidden in my pants and shoes.

When I'm feeling tough, I like to take my shirt off, throw a hat on (slightly crooked of course) and respond only with grunts and head-nods.

Enough of that.
OHH!!! STICKERS!!!!!!!! I LOVE STICKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to wrap up this update, I also like to wear a bag on my head (yes, it's breathable) and run around the house with it. Do I sometimes run into things? Sure. Do I get hurt? No - because I'm tough. (for a reminder, see two pictures above.)

Peace out.

Soooo cold...

Sooooo... not surprisingly, it is pretty much freezing out here on any given day. Daddy was gone for a few weeks, so Mom and I passed the time as best we could.

First up - impressions.

Hey. I'm Daddy. I like the Gators. I hate having my picture taken.
(Please note - my impression was spot-on.)

Kidding Kidding! Impressions are over! (Relax, Dad) I'm just taking Mom her purse, definitely not carrying it like she does.

Before long, Mom started bringing people over for me to "play" with.

First up - a tiny baby girl named "baybeeee". She really was a delight. I shared all of my toys with her - including heavy or supposedly inappropriate ones that Mom would immediately make me take back. Like I don't know what is appropriate for an infant? Puh. Leeze.

However, the age discrepancy began to take its toll and I found myself at my wits end. I mean really, if they wanted me to babysit, they should have just said so.

Now please. I beg you - no more babies.

After that visit, Miss Amy came by to hang out for an evening. She is about to have her own baby, so she often comes over to pump me for information about what it's like.

Well, I'm sorry, Miss Amy. I do have wisdom to impart, but not tonight. I'm all babied out. I'm just gonna sit here and concentrate on my yogurt raisins, thankyouverymuch.

Then came the new love of my life "lella" (aka Bella). It turns out that a much better match for an 18-month-old is an 8-week-old puppy with razor sharp teeth! She can at least fend for herself when I "share" with her.

But let me tell you - she straight wears me out.

As for the rest of my time... Well, I've just been doing a lot of drinking.

...with my boots on.

...propped up by the couch.

...longingly looking out the window, wishing warmer days would come.

Ooooh - one last parting note. Contrary to the evidence below, my mad untensil-skillz are only getting better. Plus, who doesn't think that a tiny hat of macaroni isn't hilarious?

Hmmm?? What's that? Those who wash my hair don't think it's funny?

Well.

You're wrong. It's a riot.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope that you had a great time ringing in 2008. I certainly did. How? By seeing how many wheat thins I can stuff in my mouth. Record - 3.

With only 1 Christmas under my belt, I wasn't sure what to expect this year.

Well. Let me tell you - it rocked. And not only were Mom & Dad around, but my Peedles, Poppy & Uncle Stew came to help me celebrate!

Before they came, I decided I need to start stockpiling food. You know... in case Mommy forgets to feed me or something.

Pasta, peas & beans? Check. I'm ready to entertain.

Christmas morning came quickly and it was quite a sight to behold.

Oh. My. Gosh. Is that a Thomas the Train tent?!?!? PUTMEDOWNPUTMEDOWNNOWWWW!!

Moving on... oooh - neat - a zebra!! "Grrrrowllll". (Yes, that's right - all things with 4 legs growl.)

CHACHOOOOOO!!! CHACHOOOO!!! I am getting quite good at playing with my trains. And also good at "parking" them when I need a break. Where is their garage? Oh, I like to put'em right on the slats of the wooden blinds. Mom's not exactly down with this, but where else am I supposed to put them so Georgie can't play with them when I'm gone? Riddle me that.

By mid-morning, I'll admit... I was a bit on overload and needed a recharge from Daddy.

And then I was up again - demanding that I play with Uncle Stew's drill.

Despite what Mom says, I wasn't getting tired in this picture. I just thought I'd take my sleeping buddies on a tour of all things Christmas.

And then, strangely, I don't remember anything...z.zzz...zzz....

After Christmas, the festivities only continued.

My focus on food is only growing.

Pssst...Mommy...give me a bite. Wait! Why are you wrapping your arm around the plate like that?

I still love passing time by giving Georgie "soft pats". And yes, pats can still be soft even if your hand is moving at the speed of light.

OOOH!! And something that is new but super fun - sledding!!!

Guess what is on the other end of that rope!

My own personal sled dog!!!

Okay. That was awesome. And also a little scary.

So that is the latest from me! Have a great day and a wonderful New Year!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Welcome back! (or in Knox speak, "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!)

In preparation for the magic of Christmas, I have been a very busy boy... One might think that I have been putting on a show for the man in the big red suit, but do not be fooled. I'm just incredibly sweet.

See? Helping Mommy again with the chores...

Eating all my veggies as quick as I can. (Partly because I don't care for anything to touch the pictures on my plate. How am I supposed to enjoy them with food all over the place?)

Taking Mommy & Daddy to the Cheyenne Christmas Lights Parade - despite the fact it was below freezing. They had a good time though and that's all that matters, right?

And every Sunday, I have been happily going to church. I haven't cried, haven't called my folks out of the service or anything! I even let them pose me in the snow - despite the fact it was blindingly bright.

Ahhh... but the sweet reward!

Some quality time with the man who makes things happen.

Yes, Santa, I have been good and I do deserve another dog as well as unlimited access to trucks and chocolate.

WHAT? This doesn't FEEL LIKE A PUPPY!!!!!

Oh well... I'll try again next year...

Love and cheer to everyone!

PS - This is the Jackson's Christmas card. Next year, ours will be the first ones to your door, but this year - enjoy the witty commentary and pretend you opened it in an envelope.
