In addition to going to church, we have celebrated this precious holiday by taking a ridiculous amount of pictures, coloring eggs, hunting eggs... and eating gobs and gobs of healthy candy!!
First up - coloring. This was fun as always - especially since Mom managed to find an urrrr force (ie. camo) egg dying set. Slowly, but surely, camo is infiltrating all aspects of life at Casa Jackson (although one might argue it is not going "slowly).
You can see the I managed to defy both gravity and common sense by building a tower of eggs. My military man and camo eggs are kind of visible. So are Mom's girly ones.
Next up - an egg hunt and party with friends!!
Sully really got into the spirit of things! He even had a turn in the bouncy house! That being said, I am pretty sure he was quite happy to be let out and put on solid ground after a short go of it.
The egg hunt was also slightly distressing to Sul... He still waivers on whether he loves or hates grass. It differs each day. On this day - definitely not a fan.
After some whining on his part, I tried to help him out.
How? I showed him my loot. Key word - "showed."
Note - Sully prefers things to be shown and shared. Not just the former. When I left him, he was decidedly more agitated than before. My baaaaad....
In the end, he had quite a full little bucket and happily chomped on all of the plastic eggs. We bigger kids took it a step further by opening said plastic eggs and chowing down on what was inside. Good decision.
Then Easter morning rolled around... and apparently a secret bunny had come during the night to hide eggs and put out baskets for us!! Mom and Dad definitely had not talked about this enough because I was only so-so on this bunny until I saw what awaited me.
While I went through the loot in my basket, little simple Sully tussled with this egg. It kept my folks quite amused... Every time he would grab for it, it rolled away. It made them laugh, but it made him very sad/angry. He gave it a stern talking to once it was secured in his little hands.
The requisite pictures before church... (this is a SMALL sampling - trust me.)
The whole family... natch.
And for those of you interested... here is a snippet of a dazzling Easter performance my class was involved with at school. I am definitely the loudest singer. I also 1) find my dad, 2) greet my dad, and 3) shoot a random missile.
Again, Happy Easter to all!!
