Happy spring!! We are finally thawing out after a somewhat brutally cold winter for the South. Granted, the brutality didn't touch WY, but still... I guess we have become soft since leaving the wild west.

To ring in spring properly, little leprechauns came to my house and turned all of my food green! Mom said it was to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I had my doubts... I am a creature of habit. I like my breakfast to be the same EVERY morning (unless donuts are in the offing!). It definitely took some convincing that green milk and green oatmeal was okay to ingest.

The other big activity on my plate at this time? T-BALL!!!

Check it.

Don't tell Dad (aka my coach), but the best part? Playing with my best buds - Tyler and Sawyer. I think Coach probably wishes there was a tad more T-ball going on and a little less playing, but what can you do... We're just so fun!

Once I am wrangled into my spot... I'm proud to say that I have grand plans to be named team pitcher.

Eh... Can you tell I've been watching a lot of girls fastpitch softball (my babysitters play...)?

That's better...

Oh... What's that? Pitching isn't needed in T-ball?

No problem. I'm flexible. And unsurprisingly, I'm quite skilled at catching as well.
Hmmm... Mom just pointed out the irony in my previous statement as there is no actual ball in my mitt in this photo.

Sliding? Eh... I guess those skills will come...

Sully is pretty psyched about baseball season as well. He just sits in his little chair, stuffing his face with snacks and trash talking the opposing team. He is quite the mascot.

Favorite thing after baseball? Bubble bath.

And more specifically - bubble hats.

Sully is learning the hard way that perhaps face planting into bubbles/water isn't always the best idea.

He did have a wicked bubble soul-patch after he came up for air though...

At any rate, he seemed to recover well after his failed water-breathing attempt.

AND... Mom and Dad were quite excited to 1) finally see Sul's hair growing and 2) see the beginning of curls.

I too had curls when I was one, but they quickly exited my head upon my first haircut. It seems likely that Sul's will suffer the same fate since, in my opinion, there is barely anything there in the first place. But I digress...

Other big stuff in our house? Sully's best girl, Charli, is home for GOOD! After six months of chemo and living away from her brothers, she is back in town and doing awesome.

Here they are hangin' together one night while we big kids were outside. They were having quite the time -

Either Charli was trying to rip Sully's ears off and eat them...

...or he was returing the favor by trying to take out her feeding tube and play with it.

Eventually, Charli had enough of Sully paw'ing at her, so he was forcibly separated from her.

This did not seem to phase him though...

And for those of you wondering - yes, I am still wearing a healthy dose of camo (aka. urrrr force gear) everyday.

I'm slowly brainwashing Sul that this is the way to go. Starting small with planes and hoping his learned (or forced) love for military aircraft/military dress balloons from there.

As far as my wardrobe goes - occasionally, Mom likes to remind herself that I can look like a normal kid.

She still can't force me to smile like a normal one though. Here is my latest - a strange little wink.

Anyway... I hope that your spring is starting off well! We'll be spending most of ours by playing outside and hanging out at the ball fields.

Until the next episode... lata.

Now that spring is upon us, we have been taking advantage and getting outside quite a bit.

I have been focusing a majority of my time on hunting down and shooting the bad guys that live in our neighborhood. They crept up a lot over the cold, winter months.

The hunt begins- helmet, packpack (not a typo), gun, boots and gator in place.

Can't see me, can you? Trust me. I'm there.

Shoot. Lost 'em. I am pretty sure they went thataway.

At one point, I requested backup. Sully did okay, but his light colored jacket pretty much gave our hiding spot away right when he came to "help."

So that has been fun.

I have also been flying kites here and there... We even had a kite day at school and Daddy came!

Yes. I realize my kite is teeny-tiny. Mom thought it would be a great idea to upgrade me from the $3 kite to the $5 kite at Target. Mistake. While it was made of fancy nylon instead of plastic, it could have easily fit into my pocket - hence the name "pocket kite."

Here, pocket kite is going about as high as it could. You can't see in this picture, but all of the other kids' kites are flying high, high, high into the sky.

But it was fun. Really.

Sully and Peedles enjoyed kite day as much as anyone. I mean, Sully still thinks fans are cool to look at, so he was basically short-circuiting as he watched all of the kites fly around.

Speaking of Sully... he is still just chillin' like always. Even I have to admit (and I don't have much of a reference point here...) that he is a very laid back baby. He is just happy as a clam to bang on a pan with a spoon.

He might look slightly annoyed here on account I had just taken away his spoon. I do this alot when I think he is not playing with an appropriate toy. I'm so helpful. You're welcome, Mom.

OH! This was fun... Poppy sent me some cool dinosaurs that come to life in water.

And for those of you wondering - it is not a special day. I dress like I am in the military every day. Mom loves it...

I know that I am getting pretty lax about putting up new posts, so I wish everyone a wonderful spring. I will be sure to report back on Easter happenings...

Until then, I will be defending our neighborhood...

...while Sully hangs out and eats flowers.
