New Addition

Once again, we have big news at the Jackson household!

On May 21st, Sullivan Stewart (aka Sully) arrived! According to some new t-shirts I recently acquired, he is my little brother. In addition to being informed that this diminutive person is my sibling, I have also been advised that he will be living with us. Permanently.

Crazy, eh? Anyway, here is how it all went down.

Night before he was plucked from Mommy's belly.

And a few short hours later, he arrived! According to Mom and Dad, he came out with a very healthy set of lungs.

After only a few days at home with him, I can also vouch for that. He is very powerful for someone so small. It seems likely that he will be a better adversary (or possibly an asset) than originally anticipated.

Peedles and Poppy came down to hang with me and help welcome Sully when he made his entrance. Here they are meeting him for the first time.

NOTE: If you notice a lack of pics of me in the hospital with Sully, it might be because I decided to get sick in the hospital room and toss my cookies pretty soon after arriving to welcome my new brother.

Oops. This bummed Mommy out BIG time.
Oh - and speaking of Mommy... here she is with Sully. She told me she had been giving him the scoop on how awesome I am and how I don't normally throw up when I see babies.

And here is Daddy reinforcing Mommy's talking points.

After just a couple of days, everyone came home. Again, Sully was in tow. They are really driving home this whole "he's living with us" thing.

It's cool though - he is turning out to be quite cute (we don't need to publicize the fact that I think this), and also...

He is fun to play with... Here I am "fixing" him. He had been crying. You don't see any tears now, do you?

As far as big brothers go, I'm nails.

See?

So now that he has been home for a while, we are getting into the swing of things.

Here is how I have some fun in the sun...

And here is how Sully rolls...

Here I am sporting my new goggles. I thought they were super cool.

Sully seemed less than impressed though.

Oh, the naivete' of the young.

I have to be honest... Before his arrival, I was slightly paranoid that he was going to roll up in here and start taking my toys, food, balls, whatever.

Um, I slightly underestimated just how immobile he really is. Check out his tiny legs. He can't even walk!

Nor can he take a bath by himself. My help will definitely be needed to get this baby functioning properly.

Bottom line - I am definitely going to enjoy this big brother gig. Crying and all.
