Exciting events of week 3...

Welcome everyone! We thought we'd try our hand at this world of blogging so that you can keep up to date with the oh-so-very-exciting world of Knox! (especially those of you who don't live in close proximity) We'll try to update it as much as we can, but if you notice a slow period, just assume that Knox had no cool tricks to show everyone that week :).

So now for the good stuff... He has already been "out" for nearly four weeks now! This coming Saturday will be his1 month birthday and of course Jay & I are planning a huge bash. (meaning, we'll take a moment to break from Jay's studying to recognize that we've kept him alive for a solid month.)
In anticipating the 1-month mark, Knox has been lobbying hard for us to let him out of that "cage" he sleeps in and to trade up to a proper bed. Despite his best efforts, we're not on board with his request since he still lacks the ability to roll over. Or heck, even sleep on his stomach.

Over the past week, since we sent Peedles home, we have become more adept at getting out and about on our own. I feel that this is an accomplishment and an enjoyable experience. I'll let Knox's picture speak for itself - he clearly disagrees with me and feels that this is a form of child abuse.

Ironically, he seems to enjoy Jay precariously hoisting him up on his shoulders and parading him around the house. And for Knox's newest discovery - the television. At a mere three weeks old, we can already see the potential for a crack-like addiction forming. Therefore, we are now making sure that he is facing away from the TV when we're hanging out.

I appreciate and relate to the whole of your commentary. Thanks for keeping us all up to date on these precious milestones. Also hats off to you as you are already beginning the teaching process. All kids should be able to say 'no' to crack even if they are only four weeks old, and it involves t.v. and not really crack. The earlier the better, right? Love it!
