So in case you guys haven't picked up on it, Sully is no longer a baby. He has full-on morphed into a toddler who thinks that he, too, is four-years-old. This change provides opportunities for
great fun and
great frustration. Fun for me because I know how to push his buttons. Frustration for
Sul because he is usually working overtime to stop whatever "fun" I have started.
Here is a prime example.
ME: Oh! What's this?
Sul's favorite trike??
Wellwellwell... I believe I
will take a little spin.
[
Sidenote RE: outfit. Navy blue and black are among my favorite color combinations. For those of you who know my mom, you can imagine what this does to her.]

Sul (panicking): Put. That. BAAACKKK!!!!

Me (gleeful!): WHEEEE!!!!

Sul (just plain old mad now): Grrrrrr...

And here he comes chasing after me on a different trike. Shockingly, he is not speedy so my getaway was pretty much a cakewalk.

All joking aside, it is (mostly) awesome to have a permanent buddy to play with every day.
We dig holes...

...and then we look inside of them.
And yes, that is a hole in our backyard that Mom and Dad let us dig. It's where I do my "work." And also where I hope to one day put "Fish," our Beta. We have big plans for that hole.

In the midst of us toiling away, Aunt Mel came to visit! It was SO awesome. Sure, she is fun and loves to play hours upon hours of Battleship (who knew?!?!), but she also shares my deep love of donuts. Donuts + Battleship = perfect visit.
[Sidenote #2: This picture, yet again, perfectly captures our personalities.]

She was also very flexible and didn't mind that Sully and I couldn't play the
whole time as we still had to tend to our "work."
On that particular day, we weren't in the hole, but rather we were hauling things around...
Switchin' it up...
Oooh - working hard
does come with its own set of hazards. Here,
Sul is sporting some new stitches after trying to wrestle one of his beloved planes into submission.
Plane: 1
Sul: 0
He sure did fall flat on a tail fin and puncture his face. Who knew that Sully would be the first person on Team Jackson to go to the plastic surgeon?! I don't think any of us saw that one coming...

The good news is he rebounded quickly and life resumed as normal very shortly thereafter.

We hope that everyone is having a great spring and not suffocating (too much) on the ridiculous amounts of pollen that seem to be plaguing everyone!
