New skills

So, I woke up a few mornings ago and decided that I needed to acquire a new skill. I had been to the zoo recently, so I decided to pick climbing. Those monkeys are just fantastic!

I started small... first the couch.

Then I moved on to my booster seat... While a tad more strenuous, it posed no real problem.

Then out of nowhere - HI MOM!!!

And for my finale... I had big plans.

There was a small snag in the beginning. Apparently my legs actually aren't long enough to climb like this. Who knew?

but then... taaaa-DAAAA!!!

In addition to climbing on chairs and tables, I have also mastered the stairs - albeit not surprisingly as I believe we've established my mad climing skillz. I pretty much love to hang out on the landing with Georgie. We yell at everything outside.

Basketball is proving to be more of a challenge... Daddy is pretty good help, but this whole "I'm only about 2 1/2 feet tall" thing is a hinderance.

And in other news... I have been getting ready for football season and trying to show my gator-love as much as possible.

I have also been cramming in as much outdoor summer activities as possible since the Cheyenne winters seem to come a lot earlier than they do back east.

The bubble sprinkler seems a bit childish, but Daddy really seems to like it, so I try to hold his hand and run him through it. You should hear him belly-laugh at the bubbles too. Just loves 'em.

You hold no power over me, Bubble Sprinkler!

Crap - how am I supposed to resist your fun trickles of water and pretty bubbles?

I'll be back soon to update you on yet another skill I have mastered. Peace out.

More Summer Lovin'

I've been kickin' it for the past month - wild west style. Frontier Days was nails.

My folks took me to an air show where we got to see the Air Force Thunderbirds do their thing. Since they practiced right over my house for the previous two days, I focused my attention on showing everyone my growing teeth.

mmm...that actually is still kind of cool.

We also went to watch the rodeo. It was okay, not great - kinda boring for me. I mean can I touch the horse? No. Can I ride the horse? No.

LAME.

Now what was great? All of the special treats lying on the ground around the bleacher seats. I ended up spending more time than I would have preferred in Mom's arms. She kept taking my little found treasures and giving me crackers. Dirty hot tamales are so much better.

While I may not have had the opportunity to ride a rodeo horse, a steed of another kind came to visit my house - my great uncle Pat's motorcycle.

Something is wrong here...

That's better. While I do have a bit of trouble keeping the bike upright, I feel confident that by next year I'll be hitting Sturgis.

After some rides, Uncle Pat & Aunt Sherry took us all to Estes Park for a realxing long weekend.

About 2 minutes after arriving, we saw a fox right outside our door. Instead of doing something cool, it just popped a squat and peed. Needless to say, while the trip may have piqued a little too soon, this was the best thing we saw all weekend.

Here we are on top of the tallest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. The sun was slightly bright, hence everyone looking like 1 day old puppies - except me. Perfect eyesight.

Not surprisingly, I dominated the mountain.

Goodbye for now!
