First year - DOWN!!!

As expected, my first year of life was nothing short of perfect. Sure, it was hectic and I was forced to live the life of a nomad for about the first 10 months of it, but all in all, I am chalking it up as a success. My parents are as well in that they are measuring this accomplishment by the fact they kept me alive and healthy for 365 days - not exactly reaching for the stars, eh?
My birthday week was superb. My Peedles and Poppy came to stay with me and we had a grand time doing lots of fun stuff.

I beat Peedles in a swinging competition. She doesn't know how to pump her legs, so my victory was easily gotten.

Going down a slide sitting down is for sissies!! A real boy runs down them.

We all went hiking in the mountains. And for the 1000th time, our family photo was a disaster.

Then after spending a week galavanting around, my actual birthday arrived. I began the day by helping mom assemble my shiny new coupe. She kept trying to throw other things in my path to distract me from lending a hand, but I was not to be deterred.

For her hard work, I rewarded her with a hug.

The result - a new set of wheels. Walking is also for sissies.

Then came my party. Fiesta anyone?

I had never had a cake before my birthday. The memory of that sweet, sweet icing still brings me a smile...

Hooray! Cake!

...mm..mmmm...chomp...chomp...

If you just give me a minute, I can just clean the plate for you...

Then came the time to open presents.

I'm so excit - OH WAIT! BUBBLES!!!! (I was later informed that I missed the opening of every single present due to my fascination with shiny, floating bubbles. Oops - my bad.)

It is hard to believe that in year, I have gone from this to...

...this.

I love you all and hope that you have enjoyed watching me grow this past year!!

Summer in Cheyenne

What one word wraps up what Wyoming is like in the summer?

Diverse.

Below is a smattering of pictures - ALL taken within the last seven days. It doesn't seem right... but I suppose that on the bright side, you get to wake up to a big surprise every morning. Will it be freezing today? Or will it be hot?! Only time will tell...

Anyway- onto the latest.

My newest favorite activity - emptying the drawer of pot lids. I like to take each one for a drive around the house and then either leave them where I hit a roadblock or possibly throw it across the floor.

When I'm not driving lids, I like to drive my push cart.

Hmmm...things I don't like? Having my picture taken while I'm out for a spin.

Today, mom and Miss Mary took me to the "beach". Yes, that's right, haters - there is a beach in Cheyenne. It is attached to a tiny little lake that is quite captivating.

It took me a minute to get my bearings, but once I did...

It's very simple. I rule.

**Please excuse the WT diaper. My actual dip in the lake was a bit unexpected. It was this or commando.
