MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Welcome back! (or in Knox speak, "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!)

In preparation for the magic of Christmas, I have been a very busy boy... One might think that I have been putting on a show for the man in the big red suit, but do not be fooled. I'm just incredibly sweet.

See? Helping Mommy again with the chores...

Eating all my veggies as quick as I can. (Partly because I don't care for anything to touch the pictures on my plate. How am I supposed to enjoy them with food all over the place?)

Taking Mommy & Daddy to the Cheyenne Christmas Lights Parade - despite the fact it was below freezing. They had a good time though and that's all that matters, right?

And every Sunday, I have been happily going to church. I haven't cried, haven't called my folks out of the service or anything! I even let them pose me in the snow - despite the fact it was blindingly bright.

Ahhh... but the sweet reward!

Some quality time with the man who makes things happen.

Yes, Santa, I have been good and I do deserve another dog as well as unlimited access to trucks and chocolate.

WHAT? This doesn't FEEL LIKE A PUPPY!!!!!

Oh well... I'll try again next year...

Love and cheer to everyone!

PS - This is the Jackson's Christmas card. Next year, ours will be the first ones to your door, but this year - enjoy the witty commentary and pretend you opened it in an envelope.

Things that I am thankful for...

Happy belated Thanksgiving! So, I've been thinking... The older I get, the more thankful I become. This newfound maturity and the recent holiday has inspired me to highlight those things for which I am most grateful - listed in a random order of course.

Continued improvement of my motor skills and reasoning capabilities. So what if Mom moved the stools - I'll just use a chair from the table. Genius.

My toys. Although, this particular one is a bit problematic b/c Georgie is scared of it. Despite the fact I'm clearly having fun inside of it, she absolutely refuses to join me.

SEE?!?! How could you not want to play in here!? Her loss.

My pink shirt. I think that by looking at it, you can see it requires no explanation. It's stunning.

My video games. I love playing them with my friends. I can usually beat them, but sometimes Panda unexpectedly pulls one over on me.

Helping.

See - I helped Daddy figure out how to get our Reindeer's head to turn on.

I am also quite adept at the random household task such as hanging curtains.

Peedles tried, but eventually, I just had to do it myself.

And obviously taking out the trash is on my chore list.

My red wagon/car/weapon. It's quite versatile - I can push it, pull it, ride in it, and ram it into anything! Especially Georgie when she doesn't heed my warning and get out of my way. I also occasionally like to roll it down the stairs.

Yep - you're right. I spend a lot of time in my wagon.

Learning about the nativity. I especially like to take down the sheep and try to feed them to Georgie.

Football with the guys.

When family comes to visit! My Peedles came a few weeks ago and we had such a good time - if you can get past the curtain hanging incident.

The snow. Well kind of. I'm trying to learn to be thankful for it at any rate. When I first came into contact with this strange substance, I tried to clean it off everything - my shoes, Daddy's shoes, my coupe, the rocks - everything. But now, I'm starting to love it.

My mom & dad.

I may have inadvertently fallen asleep on top of Dad after an exhausting afternoon. He sure makes a good pillow though - no matter how contorted I may end up.

And mommy's are good to kiss.

RRRRoarrrr!!!

Last night, I was a very scary (and chubby) green dragon. Everyone feared me. Here is a little snapshot of my spooky night.

Dragons have to eat before heading out to the pillage the neighborhood.

Then I practiced my flying... A little shaky at first, but then it was smooth sailing.

Um, Dad... What do you mean I can't fly to each house? What does that have to do with your arms?

First stop! Mr. Scott and Beau hooked me (meaning mommy) up with lots of good chocolate.

And on to the next!

Ooooh - another fellow trick-or-treater!!

After making it to approximately 6 houses, Dad and Mom were pretty cold, so I brought them home and we handed out candy.

Then a special surprise - a ladybug and rodeo clown came to visit just me!!!

And then I enjoyed the spoils. Wrappers and all.

Bedtime? Negative.

Heyyyyy... Who's got two fingers and isn't going to bed?

THIS GUY!!!

As I mature, I am finding that rules and "boundaries" about things like bedtime, eating, and sitting in a carseat are maybe a little dated. Sure, I probably needed them when I was a baby, but come on folks - times are changing.

hmmm...what's that, mom? Bedtime? Oh I'm sorry...that actually doesn't work for me right now.

Yep - you heard me. I also don't do carseats anymore.

Hey, George - Did you hear? I'm a free man... No rules, just Diggy callin' the shots.

Shirts are for sissies.

Mom and Dad seem to be balking at my decree of no rules.

While they may have been able to wrestle me into my jammies, I'm not concerned. I've found that due to their stretchy forgiving nature, jammies actually can be more conducive to climbing, jumping and running than my regular playclothes.

Hellooooo down there...

WOOOO-HOOOOOOO!!!! I'm not tired at all!!!

Still going strong, playing with my BFF!

Oh no... things are slowing down... pillow feels so soft and comfy...

Okay, okay. This isn't so bad. I'm relaxed, I have Puppy...

oooh... the backrub is nice too.

Oh shoot. I'm done. I can't resist Puppy!

Perhaps tomorrow, my resolve will be stronger. Till then...zz..z..z...zzzz...

Busy bee...

Welcome back.

I hope you've been well. I certainly have - what with me learning how to climb (yes, I'm still pursuing this fad) plus my Granny came to visit.

We had a great time - we climbed in trees, went on long walks...AND...she took me to my first (but certainly not last) Bluegrass festival.

What can I say? It was riveting. I had previously been under the impression that music was made inside a tiny electronic device called a radio. What a revelation this was!

Anyhoo... as of late, I figured out that all of the vent covers in the house are removable. I've been using the vents as my special hiding place. It's simple. I put stuff in and then stealthily cover it up.

I have also developed a deep love for carrying flatware around...well, at least when I can get away with it.

I'm so fast! You can't catch me!

In addition to the flatware, I have discovered and am fascinated with forts. While Dad made this one, I have been known to throw a makeshift one together with throw pillows. It's great fun! Georgie thinks so too since she isn't technically allowed to "play" (or really even touch) the pillows.

In other news...I got some new shoes.

OH! I almost forgot. SOOOO... the other day, I decided to amaze Mom with a little trick she didn't know I had up my sleeve.
SURPRISE!!! (although she wasn't as happy as I had originally anticipated.)

And what's this? A stove? Who cares if Mom keeps yelling "hot" in a scary mommy voice and dragging me away? I will not be deterred. I will conquer it like I did the island.

Hmmm...possible negotiation? I won't climb on the stove if I don't have to get my hair cut EVER AGAIN.

Well, fall is starting to set in and we are having to dress accordingly. About 2 minutes after I realized that hat was on my head, I immediately quit swiffering and threw myself onto the ground until it came off. I strongly dislike headgear.

It's time for me to go. Georgia and I wish you well. (picture taken during one of our morning coffee and chat sessions)
